You can buy tickets for the museum on the website with the Museum Annual Card and the Friends Lottery VIP Pass and that's what we did. From Den Bosch, after more than an hour's drive, our navigation indicated that we had to go in the direction of Otterlo, but a sign with "Kroller Moller" pointed in the other direction, so we followed that. We ended up at the so-called Schaarsbergen entrance. Here we parked the car and thought we were at the museum. At the ticket office we were told that to get to the museum we had to go through the park and that we therefore had to buy a ticket for the park, which would also give you access to the museum. In addition, we had to buy a parking ticket because we had parked our car. So we paid €28.95. The terribly unfriendly cashier told us that we could take a bicycle to get to the museum. So we grabbed a bike and started cycling. After cycling almost 5 km !!!!!!!! we came across a sign that it was still almost 6 km !!!! cycling. So apparently to get to the museum we first had to cycle 10 km there and then 10 km back!!! Too crazy for words. It was 15 degrees, I was dressed for a museum visit and not for a 20 km bike ride, so we turned around at the sign and cycled back. So after cycling 10 km and almost 30 euros poorer we had not seen anything of the museum. We returned past the cashier's lady who at that moment was shouting through her microphone like a true camp guard to a lady who unsuspectingly wanted to ride her bike into the park: "WHERE IS YOUR ENTRANCE CODE!!!!!" The lady on the bike almost fell over and the people at the ticket booth didn't know what they were talking about. What a nasty person
We grabbed the car, looked for the entrance through Otterlo, as our navigation previously indicated, and arrived at the museum there with no problems and no bicycle.
The Van Gogh exhibition was very nice. The restaurant is iddly expensive.
Je kunt voor het museum op de website kaartjes kopen met de museumjaarkaart en de Vriendenloterij VIP-pas en dat hebben we gedaan. Vanuit Den Bosch, na ruim een uur rijden, gaf onze navigatie aan dat we richting Otterlo moesten, maar een bordje met "Kroller Moller" wees de andere kant op, dus volgden we dat. We kwamen uit bij de zgn. ingang Schaarsbergen. Hier parkeerden we de auto en dachten bij het museum te zijn. Bij de kassa werd ons verteld dat we om bij het museum te komen door het park moesten en dat we daarom ook een kaartje moesten kopen voor het park, waarmee je dan ook toegang had tot het museum. Daarbij moesten we een parkeerkaart kopen omdat we onze auto hadden geparkeerd. Dus € 28,95 betaald. De ontzettend onvriendelijke kassamedewerkster gaf aan dat we een fiets konden pakken om bij het museum te komen. Dus wij een fiets gepakt en beginnen te fietsen. Na bijna 5 km !!!!!!!! fietsen kwamen we een bordje tegen dat het nog bijna 6 km !!! fietsen was. Om bij het museum te komen moesten wij dus blijkbaar eerst 10 km heen fietsen en daarna weer 10 km terug!! Te gek voor woorden. Het was 15 graden, ik was gekleed op museumbezoek en niet op een fietstocht van 20 km, dus we zijn bij het bordje omgedraaid en terug gefietst. Na dus 10 km fietsen en bijna 30 euro armer hadden we nog niets gezien van het museum. We kwamen weer terug langs de kassamevrouw die op dat moment als een ware kampbewaakster door haar microfoon krijste naar een mevrouw die nietsvermoedend op haar fiets het park in wilde fietsen: "WAAR IS UW ENTREEBEWIJS!!!!!" De mevrouw op de fiets viel bijna om en de mensen aan de kassa wisten niet hoe ze het hadden. Wat een naar mens.
We hebben de auto gepakt, hebben de ingang via Otterlo gezocht, zoals onze navigatie eerder aangaf, en zijn daar zonder problemen en zonder fiets bij het museum aangekomen.
De Van Gogh-tentoonstelling was erg mooi. Het restaurant is idd erg duur.
